Why I Love Hypnosis

(And Why It Works When Other Approaches Don't)

There was a time when I believed that in order to heal, grow, or change…you had to go back.

Back into the story.
Back into the memory.
Back into the moment that created the pattern in the first place.

And while awareness is important, what I’ve come to learn - through my work as a mindset coach, executive coach, and practitioner of clinical hypnotherapy is this: We don’t need to relive everything to release it.

That’s one of the reasons I love hypnosis.

It Works With the Mind That’s Actually Running the Show

Most of our behaviours, reactions, and emotional patterns aren’t driven by logic.

They’re driven by the subconscious mind.

The part of you that learned how to stay safe…how to belong…how to cope.

Through clinical hypnotherapy, we’re able to work directly with that part instead of trying to override it with willpower or positive thinking.

Because if you’ve ever told yourself, “I know better… so why do I still feel this way?”

You’ve already experienced the gap.

Hypnosis closes it.

It’s More Direct (Without Being Forceful)

Traditional approaches often rely on repetition, analysis, or talking things through over time.

And while those can absolutely have value, they can also keep people circling the same story -
trying to understand something that doesn’t actually need more explanation.

As a mindset coach and executive coach, I see this often with high performers.

They’re aware. They’re capable. They understand the pattern.

But they still feel stuck.

Hypnosis is different.

It allows us to bypass the constant mental loop and go straight to the root of the pattern -
where change can happen more quickly, and more naturally.

Not by forcing anything. But by updating what the mind has been holding onto.

You Don’t Have to Rehash the Past to Heal It

This is one of the biggest misconceptions.

That in order to move forward, you have to go back and unpack everything.

For many people - especially high-performing, self-aware individuals and leaders I work with as an executive coach - this can actually feel exhausting.

And sometimes… reactivating.

Clinical hypnotherapy offers another way.

One where the mind can release, reframe, and reorganize without needing to relive every detail.

It’s not about avoiding the past. It’s about not staying stuck in it.

It Feels Different Because It Is

There’s a moment in hypnosis that’s hard to fully explain until you experience it.

A moment where things feel quieter. Clearer. Less effortful.

Where the internal resistance starts to soften.

And what once felt like a pattern you couldn’t change suddenly feels… optional.

That’s not magic.

That’s your mind becoming receptive to something new - something we intentionally create through clinical hypnotherapy techniques.

Why It Matters More Now Than Ever

We’re living in a time where people are overwhelmed but still expected to perform.

Where stress is normalized, and pushing through has become the default.

As a mindset coach and executive coach, I see this every day.

But underneath that… people are tired of:

  • Overthinking everything

  • Carrying the same patterns into new situations

  • Knowing what to do—but not feeling able to do it

Hypnosis meets people in that exact space.

Not by adding more to their plate, but by helping them finally shift what’s underneath it all.

And This Is Why I Continue to Come Back to It

Because I’ve seen what happens when someone:

  • Stops fighting their own mind

  • Releases something they’ve been carrying for years

  • Experiences change without force or struggle

It's powerful. Not because it’s dramatic. But because it’s effective.

If You’re Curious…

You don’t need to have it all figured out.

You don’t need the perfect words to explain what you’re feeling.

And you definitely don’t need to go back and relive everything to move forward.

Sometimes, all that’s required is a different approach.
